Clare joined the bar as an environmental and public law barrister in 2012 and has over two decades experience advising and acting in the areas of Resource Management Law, Conservation and Public Law and Land law. Clare previously worked as Southland Conservancy Solicitor for the Department of Conservation for 15 years.
She advises and represents clients on both locally and nationally significant RMA and conservation law matters ranging from Coastal and District Plans and Policy Statements to major resource consents, nationally significant DOC concessions and administrative law matters.
Clare is on the national committee of the Resource Management Law Association and the Resource Management Journal editorial committee and is a member of the New Zealand Bar Association. She has presented at an NZLS Intensive on Public Sector Governance and at various RMA seminars and conferences.
